-

years. All Area Representatives are elected for one ( 1 ) year term. Please use the appropriate Nomination
Form enclosed herewith as needed and return to the Election Commission before 12:00 Noon, Sundav,
October 25, 2009. You may 1) drop the completed form(s) in the locked box that EC has placed at the
Main Center; 2) mail the nomination form(s) to the attention of EC with sufficient time to reach the Main
Center before the deadline; 3) fax the form(s) to the attention of EC to the Main Center office; or 4) hand
deliver the form(s) in a sealed signed envelop to a member of the EC who are instructed to issue a receipt
for each envelop thus received. (NOTE that if you choose to fax in the Nomination Form(s), please be
aware that the forms may get misplaced and/or be seen by non-EC individuals as the same fax line is used
for routine ISGH business.)
In all cases, please make sure that each nomination form is accompanied by the appropriate acceptance
form. Each Nomination Form MUST accompany the signed ACCEPTANCE FORM by the nominee for
each position (please obtain nominee's signature on the Acceptance Form at the time of hislher
nomination and send the two forms together).
Please note that the ISGH staff has been instructed to promptly deposit any mail or fax addressed to the
EC in the locked box. Therefore, other than the Nomination Forms, do not send any correspondence
intended for the EC to the Main Center. Instead use the information provided below to contact the EC. It
is your responsibility to assure that your nomination ,forms are received by the EC in a timely manner.
The Election Commission MUST receive the nominations at Main Center Office by the deadline. EC
representative(s) will be available at the Main Center at least one hour prior to the deadline on October
25, 2009.
The eligible voters list for the upcoming elections should now be available at the Main Center and in all
zones. Only those persons whose names are on the list will be allowed to vote. It is the responsibility and
obligation of each member to make sure that his or her name DOES appear on the eligible voting list.
Every one of ISGH members is encouraged to carefully look at the list and make sure that all information
is correct. EC wants to make sure that no ISGH member is denied the right to participate in this election
because of just an error in the preparation of the voting list. Once the EC has received the final list from
ISGH, then before a name addition or any other change may even be considered by EC proof MUST be
produced to the satisfaction of the EC by the member and the ISGH officials and staff that any omission
or other mistake was due to some clerical error. Only irrefutable evidence such as: I) a membership dues
receipt or 2) a cancelled check or 3) checkomatic voucher may be considered in trying to prove that a
name omission is an error. A specific process will be followed by EC and ISGH for any such
considerations.
Dealing with missing names and other incorrect information is extremely difficult on the actual election
day(s) and is strongly discouraged. Under most circumstances it will NOT BE ALLOWED or WILL
NOT BE POSSBLE to do so at the time of balloting. If you feel that the name of one of your family
member or someone you know should be on the list but is missing, please take steps to rectify the
situation as soon as possible; meaning right NOW. It can not be emphasized enough how important and
helpful it is for every ISGH member to check into the listing issues IMMEDIATELY.
All due care has been exercised in preparing the election material. In case of any error and/or conflict, the
actual ISGH Constitution & Bylaws shall prevail. ISGH EC2009 reserves all rights to make necessary
adjustments that are consistent with the elections rules and regulations on as needed basis.
It is the responsibility of the nominee and person who is nominating, and in fact all members, to be
aware of deadlines and other rules governing the elections.
Please note that this nomination package and other election related information and announcements are
available on WWW.ISGH.ORG at the link for ELECTIONS 2009. All members are encouraged to visit
this website often to stay updated with election process and for all future election related announcements.
No other mailing shall be done bv EC2009.
If you have any questions andlor comments, please do not hesitate to contact one of the Election
Commission members. Names of the Election Commission members will be posted on each ISGH
Center's bulletin board and ISGH website in near future. In the mean time you may contact me directly at
832-978-9822 or via email at ISGHEC2009@YAHOO.COM.
May Allah (SWT) bless you for your cooperation and sense of communal duty.
Wassalaamu Alaikum.
